Today felt like I was home again, because just like my family and I do every Sunday, I went to church. Although it wasn't with my family I still enjoyed going. I felt so welcomed over there and had a really good time. Just like my home church, the service started out with prayer worship. After prayer worship, the service began and then it ended with a prayer. Then I went to go eat lunch with family Mejicanos. After we finished lunch we headed to their home where we watched two movies. They were so welcoming and made me feel like I was part of their family.
Once I got back from spending my day with the family I headed straight to the Solomon building where I was going to have Community Time. During this time we were given tips, from current college students from Brown that went through the same process of coming up with an Action Plan. The session was mainly about how to come up with ideas for our Action Plan, and what to do in order to make it work.
Something that really stood out for me through the whole session was that one of the students that spoke said that our Action Plan should be based on this quote, "Do what you Love, and Love what you do". I really enjoyed hearing that, because I was being a bit indecisive with what to choose for my Action Plan to be. Now I know what I want it to be and exactly what I want to do in order for it to work.
We're all anxiously awaiting to learn about the Action Plans you all come up with. These can help tell us so much about each of you.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, we'll be waiting to see how you follow through with your Plan.
